Reynolds’s Autumn Island is performed by the superb Japanese marimbist, Kunihiko Komori, on a CD program also including works by Toshio Hosokawa and Richard Rodney Bennett. Komori was educated at the Eastman School of Music and the Peabody Conservatory. In addition to teaching and concertizing in Japan, he has soloed at the West German Radio’s Wittener Tage and the Darmstadt Summer Courses, the Kimmel Center in New York, and the Takefu Festival in Japan.
